Who: Torii-Sou, Lilo and Stitch the not!Puppy.
Where: Tortuga
When: Daytime, probably.
Why: TREASURE HUNT!
Warnings: rampant cute and hyper, likely nothing else

Torii figured that if they were on the last real pirate island, the only logical thing to do to keep themselves busy was to go on a treasure hunt, she'd even drawn up a map and everything, marking out the most likely places that treasure would be hidden.

All she had to do after that was round up a crew, Stitch was easy enough to convince, and Brenda thought it was a good idea, which was also helpful all 'round. Torii sent Stitch off to find Lilo while she went to gather supplies, a compass, a shovel and a backpack with water and snacks and a couple bags for carrying treasure back in if they found any.

Lilo loved the idea, and went to get a pirate hat, and a thick stick that she'd deemed a sword. Scrump had a little hat that matched her own as closely as Lilo had been able to get, and she was in a carrier across her back. She went to find Torii but found Stitch first, crawling up his body to rest onto his back.

Stitch grinned at this, swinging her up more securely, having long since gotten used to being climbed like a tree, "Is good?" He didn't wait for an answer before galloping down the stairs and ducking through the kitchen doorway so as not to bonk Lilo's head, and out onto the back porch where Torii was waiting, "Aye aye captain!"

Torii beamed, shouldering the backpack and sliding the shovel through the straps like a yoke, settling it all into position, "Right! We ready to move out crew?"

Lilo saluted Torii as best she could from Stitch's back. She smiled and nodded seriously. "Yes ma'am! I brought Scrump, too. She's a good lookout. Well, I think she is. If she's not, she'll get eaten by zombies first."

Torii nodded once, "We don't have to worry about zombies here, island's zombie-proof. We might have to worry about ghost pirates and monkeys though, maybe sunburn, you both have sunscreen on?"

Stitch just blinked at this, head tilting. Torii shook her head, going back into the kitchen for a moment before returning with spray-on sunscreen, "Arms."

Lilo crawled off of Stitch so Torii could get her too. She was generally dark enough where all she ever did was tan, but she was used to the drill with Nani. "Thanks Torii-sister."

Torii nodded, spraying them both down before getting herself as well, just in case. The island was fairly shady, and she had the Wartooth pale-that-tans, which she'd always been thankful for, "You're welcome Lilo. Now we're ready!"

Stitch's nose wrinkled, but he rubbed it in all the same, "okay! Treasure hunting!"

Lilo helped Stitch rub the lotion into his legs, which was as high up as she could reach. Then she held onto his hand as they walked toward Torii, ready for her to lead the way.

Torii smiled, handing Lilo the map and Stitch the compass, explaining that it would work better since he was taller, closer to the poles, this explanation made perfect sense to him, nodding vigorously and holding the compass up, just watching the needle spin before settling, pointing, "North!"

Torii nodded again, "Lilo, you're the navigator, which direction should we go?"

She squinted and cocked her head to the side, looking at the map. "A liiiiitle bit to the east of North." She pointed a little bit to the right of where Stitch pointed and looked to Torii.

Torii nodded once, giving Lilo a mock salute, "And what's our first landmark?" She said, bouncing down the stairs and heading off in the indicated direction.

Stitch grinned, swinging Lilo and the map up onto his shoulders again.

Lilo cocked her head to the side. "I think that's a tree with some big rocks all around it. It shouldn't be too far." She giggled and wrapped her arms around Stitch's forehead, humming a little to herself.

Hey, as long as she wasn't covering his eyes he was fine with holding on.

Torii nodded, "I know just the one, it's that weird twisty tree, right? The only one that's not a palm tree."

She squinted at the map. "Yup! It doesn't have the palm tree leaves." She patted the top of Stitch's head, if only because she knew she was probably tugging on his hair a little.

This caused Stitch to laugh, head ducking out from under her hand like a cat going swaybacked.

It really wasn't a long walk to the tree at all, Stitch cheered once they reached it, checking the compass again and pointing out north, "Now where?"

Lilo checked the map and pointed hard right. "This way! There should be an enormous boulder, really huge. Like, huge." She showed Stitch the map by pressing it to his nose.

This of course caused Stitch to go cross-eyed looking at it, but he nodded a moment later, "I seeeeeee."

Torii grinned, striking off in the right direction, taking the shovel out after a few moments, using it to hold tall grass out of the way, clearing them a path, "After the boulder do we keep going straight or do we turn?"

Lilo giggled knowing that Stitch probably didn't see at all, but then she nodded. "Straight! Right through the path of terror. ... or at least uncertainty. And sand, so most assuredly heat."

Torii nodded at this, "And rabid grass-critters, like that one there!"

It was, in fact, a critter made of grass, not quite woven, but knotted, hanging by a thread from the top of some taller grass stalks. It was... a critter. Yep.

Stitch squealed and flailed, managing not to spill Lilo, and as usual reaching for the raygun that was no longer where it should be.

"Aaaaah!" Lilo crawled down to hide behind Stitch's leg, mostly playing at being scared, but pretty convincingly so. Wrapping her arms and legs around Stitch's calf, she let him carry her.

Torii was laughing as she swung the backpack down, dragging out a rubberband gun and handing it over.

Stitch grinned, taking aim and knocking the critter down with the first go, "BWAHAHAHA!"

Torii couldn't help but laugh at that as well, "Right, Stitch! You're in charge of the artillery, we've only got limited ammunition, so make it count."

He nodded, giving her a salute, "Aye aye captain!"

"He's really good," Lilo nodded, taking his hand and walking. She skipped a little, liking the feeling of the sand beneath her feet so much she took off her flip-flops and wiggled her toes in it.

Stitch shrugged, tucking the rubberband gun into the back of his pants where he could get it again with either hand, even with Lilo on his shoulders, "Pretty okay, I guess."

Torii shook her head, "No, totally Stitch, you got that grass-critter before it could pounce."

"He's all humble, but really. He's smarter than any computer ever. Stitch, what's 13456 times seven?" She grinned at Torii. "He'll get it in two seconds."

He squinted skyward, scratching his chin, totally for show, muttering: "Carry a one, and a seven...94,192" he answered a moment later before scowling playfully at Lilo, "Stitch not a calculator!" Except for the fact when he totally was.

Torii's brows both arched, "dude, that's awesome."

Lilo giggled. "No, Stitch is ohana. Just really smart." She made grabbyhands so she could give him a kiss on the cheek, beaming at Torii. "I adopted him."
