He shifted his stance to even out his balance. "Not long at all," he answered, looking to her face. He recognised her as his mother, but he didn't remember her. Yet. It was coming back. He could feel it all, gathering just out of his reach. A party was not the place to explore long lost memories, especially the distorted memories of thousands of years.
"A few days, at best. I'm...still getting settled." Not a lie, exactly. He smiled a little. He thought he should tell her about his memory loss, but he wasn't sure how she would react.
