"Humanity created the concepts of law and law enforcement to capture and contain criminal elements within society. But these enforcers do not have the power to threaten to erase those criminals' personalities. They do not boast the inimical ability to induce a selective amnesia of events. Such debates have come up in popular fiction and literature, and almost unequivocally, those notions are decried as immoral. How then is it less immoral to create a being with autonomous function, and then be able to wipe it out without a second thought? I do not like the idea of being made to forget. If I forget, I cannot learn from my mistakes."
