"Perhaps it is borne of this human tendency to attempt to bury one's mistakes. To not mention them means that they have not happened, and they do not have to acknowledge their own errors, even though they caused harm. Ironically, I have noted that some humans tend to cite 'protection' among their reasonings for withholding information. It is contradictory, for adequate preparation would have protected them far better than ignorance, but it seems consistent with the nuances of the delicate human ego. But I have no ego to damage, and I do not need protection."
