Cassidy nodded to what she said, brows raised, "Oh, and Antigone, she married my dad's best friend's brother. There's probably more, but I don't pay attention very well." He shrugged, taking another sip. "I don't pay attention to reputations, either. All I know is that there's all sorts of deities running around. The Christian's God is here, too. She's a friend of mine." He shrugged, "It takes a lot as a Human here to be anything but polytheistic."
He waited for her, and then he looked into his cup. "Yes, a Vortex. Nobody knows how it works, or why it picks people the way it does. My theory is that it picks people in need of a change, in need of a fresh start. It's very normal. Thousands of people have come to this reality this way. My grandparents, my parents, myself, and even a couple of my ancestors have made their way here this way. My uncle and cousin, as well, and my best friend, and my wife... Frankly, everyone I know." He shrugged slightly. "I suppose it's pretty normal. I wasn't expecting to be brought back to 2008, certainly, but I have. My mom and dad are still so young, and I'm just a baby in this time. I babysit myself once in a while."
He chuckled softly. "I doubt that'll happen to you, though."
