Lilo laughed at what Torii had said, deciding that she was pretty much the prettiest not-grownup-but-not-kid she'd ever seen and that she liked her.
She made herself comfortable at the table, smiling broadly. It had been a long time since she'd had a sit-down meal with a family; most of the time Nani had to work, and as such, it was usually just pizza. She wiggled so she could kiss Brenda on the cheek to tell her so. "Thanks. Nani was trying to be a good cook, but there's some stuff that some people just aren't good at. And I think she would've burned down the kitchen eventually. We had to throw out a pot 'cause she managed to cook carrots into liquid, then forgot about it, and they turned back into a solid again. But not carrots. They were un-carroty. And stinky."
