"Leave home, now, and walk out to the world. Travel, and don't just visit, but see them. Talk to the people. And while you are traveling, in each city, get someone to take a picture of you with someone different. In one city, a shopkeeper, in another a police officer, in another, a newspaper maker."
He held out his hand.
"And find a place, in each one, where you can sit, and find peace. Whatever form that takes. And do not come home until you are done."
His voice was still quiet but strong, and an element of compassion and warmth was in it too.
