"Good," he exhaled, knowing he'd be okay for the time being if she stuck close to him. "Yes, ma'am." With a heavy sigh, Denny gave in and started walking to the bed. With her by his side, it wasn't quite so bad. But the bed was a symbol of his frailty. It was a reminder that he'd need to be careful until they could find a resolution. It told him that if they couldn't find him a new heart, he'd go back to being incorporeal again.
He got himself into the bed and almost pulled her in with her. But, no, that could wait. He did hold tight to her hand and probably would release it until she told him she needed it to work. "So do you know anything about this place? When'd you get here? Did you know we replace people?"
