She sighed. "Chi is another word for 'life force' or energy. In China and other parts of Asia, there are monks who believe that through focus and meditation, a person could actually focus their chi into parts of their body."
"When I was in the tournament, a shaolin monk, taught me how to form my chi energy into an attack. Observe.." She laid a hand on the bed, palm up, taking a breath and closed her eyes. Soon, a faint, pink mist seemed to rise from her hand before fading. "That's a rather poor show, but you get the idea." She laughed.
"When I found Jane, she was bleeding from the neck wounds. I used sorcery to 'will' the wounds to close, and then I actually transferred some of my chi into her. The effect is similar to a defibrillator starting up a heart's that stopped and she was stable long enough to make it to the hospital."
She paused. "I already needed to use chi rings to hold back the other vampires, reviving Jane near drained the hell out of me."
"Just so you know, it's not witchcraft. Witchcraft only uses symbols, herbs, potions, objects rather than the person. Chi and sorcery require the person's actual energy, and the more complex and exact the desired result, the more energy it requires." she held up the bag of pastries. "Sugar in any form's a good way to quickly recover, well that and rest."
