The irony of the Firebird mount was not lost on her, but she was too tired to comment on it. She climbed in, glad he was driving. She watched the buildings go by, surprised by how quiet it all seemed so soon after they were attacked by zombies. She expected everything to be chaos. It must be happening in small patches. Or maybe it was just an isolated incident. Either way was good, she supposed.
When they arrived at his apartment, her eyes widened. "Wow," she said softly as he led her inside. 'Nice place' was an understatement. "Al'ar is.." she gasped quietly as she saw the phoenix, bigger than life. She nodded slowly, not sure exactly what fell under the category of startling phoenixes. "He's beautiful."
