"Well, just in case," she said. "You know, I wouldn't be able to tell you where they were if I passed out, so I thought I should tell you now. I probably won't, but just in case." He would 'deal with' something if it tried to hurt her. Hee. She smiled, taking her cup of coffee and following him to the booth. She sat down. "Thanks," she said quietly, sipping her coffee.
"You seem to be adjusting to this world pretty well," she observed. It was a nice way to say 'Gee, you don't seem that evil in person'. She leaned back in the booth. "This is nice." And it was. She was actually relaxing, finally. She hadn't fallen on her face or wet herself, so the outing was a success, so far. It was actually about as normal as she got.
Just then, the window next to them shattered, sending glass shards all over their table. Before Cyd could even turn her head, a zombie's hands had wrapped around her neck and were trying to pull her out.
