Gabriella's shout confirmed the fear that Henry had been trying to ignore since he'd looked outside himself. First taking a moment to hold Gabriella's hand and assure her that things would be kept under control, Henry climbed upon the coffee table to raise his head over that of the guests to let his voice be heard.
"Ladies and gentlemen," he shouted, "some of you may have already noticed that something of surpassing strangeness is occurring outside of the house. As far as I can see, it is centered mostly on the city, but it does not seem that this location is immune. This building is as secure as a modern domicile can be made, it was constructed that way. So please, stay inside the house and for God's sake, open no doors or windows. There is enough food for a good long while, so I believe we will be safe until this situation has been resolved. Until then, please remain calm."
He climbed down and shook his head. This was either the most opportune thing to happen in this party, or just more in the string of bad luck.
