Then he blinked. He listened to her words, eyes widening. "I - you know those guys I told you about? If you're really, really curious, they've done hundreds of exorcisms. They could tell."
He shrugged and moved a little closer to her, putting his hand on her shoulder again. "For what it's worth, I don't think you do. And I sure as hell doubt you ever did. Saying what you think, not being able to keep a job - that first part is awesome, that second part is just bad luck. And it sounds like from what you tell me, you do have friends." He squeezed gently. "I've heard stories about demons posessing people, and I doubt you've ripped the skin off of anybody lately."
