She shook her head and rolled her eyes, "'Course, the first person I meet in this world's gotta be a fangbanger." But that was beside the point, she heard and understood what Soren had said about this Bill, and she had a feeling it was the same Bill that Sookie had met when she came here. "I really should trust Sookie more. She got more sense than to accept th'help of some skeezy dead man. But lemme get one thing straight witchu. I ain't afraid of vampires. I'm wary of 'em, s'all." She looked a bit sheepish at that, though. She never thought of herself as scared of vampires, so much as she was scared of what they could, and would do with Sookie or her, if given half a chance.
She spoke in a less confrontational, more gentle, quiet voice. "You think maybe they different here than back home? I would hate to see Sookie in trouble I can't get her outta. She was walkin' a fine line back home, an' it worried me. Now she's just pickin' up wit' another vampire here, an' I dunno if I can see my only friend go off an' do that, unless I know they better people here than at home."
