This was not the first time Esk had snuck into a class she hadn't enrolled in. It was the first time she didn't have to hide, though. 'Blending in' hadn't been an option at Unseen University, when all of the students were male. The lecture hall was big, and Esk took a seat about halfway back.
She was coming into the course halfway through, but she'd picked up the textbook and managed to catch up on the reading over the weekend. She thought she had a pretty good understanding of the material, even if she didn't agree with all the details.
She'd arrived a few minutes early. Thankfully, there was a portkey very close to this building, so she didn't have a long commute between her Taunton classes and this one. She took out a pen and a notebook, opening it to a blank page. Seats were starting to fill up.
