Tony had to learn to stop watching that stupid television show that Remy used to come from. It was seriously messing with him in regards to his wife, and all it'd done lately was remind him that she'd been really sick once. But last night's had been the worst. Drugs, slipping into that self-destructive lifestyle that reminded him so desperately of the one he'd had before he'd come here. It'd made him see just how much more alike they had been than he'd known. It'd even made him much more clingy in bed than usual. And it'd affected his mind so much that he couldn't keep focused at all while he'd been down in the shop tinkering around. Even Ant could tell he was uneasy which agitated the baby. But now Ant was down for bed, asleep soundly in his playpen in the living room while Tony stretched out on the couch, flipping channels while he waited for Remy to come home.

Meanwhile, Remy didn't really have a clue as to what was going on. He was lonely apparently and wanted to spend time with her. And half of her was tempted to tell him to just go to Pepper, or ask if he was sure that it was her that he wanted. But she didn't, she just closed up shop and got some other people to look in on some people and call if there was an emergency. Her beeper was strapped to her hip at all times as she headed home. She parked the car and got out, not having taken quite ten minutes. New world record. She let herself in, and Jarvis told her where Tony was. She headed down slowly, "hey.." she greeted softly.

He hadn't even thought much about Pepper since that night. Like he'd gotten it out of his system and it was over. She would always be his friend and more, but he just felt like that part of him was over and done now. Tony seemed genuinely happy to see her when she greeted him, and he sat the remote to the side, muting the television in the process so he wouldn't disturb the baby. "Hey.." he said as he sat up and got off the couch to greet her. Wrapping his arms around her, he hugged her tightly and let out a deep sigh like he hadn't seen her in a long time. "How's work been today?"

Though she was a little surprised that he was coming up to greet her, she didn't try to show it. She just smiled at him warmly and wrapped her arms around him in return. She really liked being hugged by him because he actually hugged her instead of just putting his arms around her. Pressing her face against his neck, she inhaled a little. "Good.. everyone's got colds.. that's about it. How has your day been?"

"Weather's changing. It's bound to happen. That's why I'm not taking Ant out much so he doesn't catch anything." He hugged her a little tighter before he ever actually let go of her, which was a minute or two. He was clinging, which was unusual for him. Then he kissed her gently on the lips. "I thought we could spend some time together since the baby is asleep. House is kind of empty right now."

"Good idea, I don't want him to get sick.." that would definitely freak her out. She hadn't really dealt with a sick baby yet. One day it was going to come up though. Her arms tightened around him, hugging him even tighter. She didn't mind being clung to actually, not with him. She kissed him back lightly, "Sounds nice.. are you.. okay?" not that she was complaining, she could just tell that something was upsetting him.

"Nothing's wrong really. It's just me," he said as he took her by the hand and lead her to the couch. "I watched that show last night. And...it screwed with my head, I guess," he said as he sat down on the couch and stretched out again. He pulled her down with him, because he just wanted to feel her there with him. Tony would probably get over it in a couple of days, but it was still hard watching something like that without it having some kind of effect on him.

Being lead towards the couch, she ah'd a bit. That show. The show she was supposed to come from. "Should I ask what happened or do I not want to know?" she asked as she laid down beside him on the couch, moving up next to him to snuggle in on her side. She wasn't quite sure she wanted to know, but it was obviously upsetting him. He said nothing was wrong but it obviously was.

	"Uh, the one who's supposed to be you. She's, erm, sleeping with a lot of people and doing drugs," he said as he snuggled into her, not really looking at her as he spoke. "Because she's dying and alone." Then he lifted his head enough so that he could burying his face in her hair, breathing her in deeply. "I'm glad I saved you from that." She figured it had something to do with the woman who was supposed to be her. And his words didn't really surprise her. Her head nodded a bit, and then she licked her lips. "I was doing that before I found out I was going to die. I mean.. before I came here or.. started working for House. It wasn't .. all the time. Once in a while. It sounds like this has been.. something a bit more then once in a while.." she reached around and wrapped her arms around him again. "From dying or sleeping around and doing drugs?" she couldn't help but smirk slightly.

"I can't say anything. I already did that except I was drinking more. Drugs were never really my thing." Ton knew the destructive path all too well, and though he'd calmed down after he'd ended up with the arc reactor, it was only a matter of time before he was going to start it again or worse. "Both. I think the level of relief is equal on all fronts," he said as he softly brushed his fingers through her hair.

Right, he had drinking and she had drugs apparently. They both had sleeping around. "Mm.. well.. I'm not her, and you're definitely to think for that." she pressed her face against his chest and shut her eyes. She reached up and touched his face with her hands and sighed. "It's not going to happen, not any of it. Not the drugs, and not the dying and not the sleeping around. Y'know unless you want to.." she opened her eyes carefully and smiled at him.

His chest vibrated when he laughed, his hand coming up to hold hers and rest it against his heart. "Kirk was fun, and I don't mind the other version of me, but that's all." Tony wasn't thrilled about her sleeping with others that didn't resemble him at least. "I know it's not going to happen, but it's...well, watching it happen like that still reminds me." Just like he knew that seeing certain things reminded her of his arc reactor and his death, and the stuff with Pepper. Things like that never went away.

Glad to see him laugh, she smiled up at him and put her hand against his chest. "Oh? All right but.. what about other girls.." she couldn't help but brush her lips up behind his ear. "Maybe Pepper?" she whispered not directly in his ear but behind it while she kissed the spot there gently. "I'm sorry, you should stop watching that nonsense.. it's ridiculous.." she said more seriously. But it was the truth, about how things reminded her all the time.
