It took Carrie longer than normal to return to her senses. Dick's voice helped her back. Breathing out a quiet sigh, her lips curled into a smirk. She was comfortably wrapped around her husband. There wasn't anywhere else she'd rather be.

"Love you, too," she said tenderly after a moment of catching her breath. Her throat felt a little raw from all the screaming, so any words that came out of her mouth sounded extra husky. Her lips brushed his chin and cheek. "That was good," she murmured happily against his skin.
