Cass' brows arched when Soren slid onto his lap and he put his arm around Soren's waist, smiling at Sable, "I wouldn't be surprised if he's been dreaming about it for years, at this point." He looked up at Soren then, "But I told Henn that if this would happen, it'd be just the once. We've got to make it count." He moved his free hand subtly around Sable's waist as well, tracing across her bare back and over her side, pulling her closer.
The equality thing was moot. These two people were his friends, his family. They were no more or no less than he was, and he'd always thought so.
