Ganieda of Avalon (

Ganieda went off to shower, staying in rather a long time, washing her hair and scrubbing herself with very, very hot water, and perhaps she weeps for herself a little bit as well. They would be tears of relief as well as of grief, but the final ones that would be shed that night.

It was lovely to eat with her true family, but they sent her off to bed when she nearly fell asleep in her dessert.

And in the quiet guest room that night, Ganieda didn't dream at all.
