The priest looked up at him in total confusion and fear. "Th-they said the girl was moving things with her mind and...and...conversing with spirits...and they asked for an exorcism."

"But...but you have known me!" Ganieda cried out. "I have gone to your confession and bowed to your altar, and yet you believe when they say I am dishonest?!"

She wanted to reach out and pull down the church around her, pull it down so that it covered her too, and them, and then maybe she wouldn't feel so utterly terrible and horrible. And she was angry, so angry it frightened her as she trembled on the spot with her fists clenched.
