She laughed as he jumped, covering her mouth with a hand so he wouldn't think she was laughing at him specifically. "I'm sorry, I really am." She'd already taken the pie and set it on the counter, but when he offered her some, she couldn't help but smirk. "It's a dangerous thing, offering me food right now. I think I like cheesecake. Would you like some?" She padded off to get two forks before hopping up onto the kitchen counter, crossing her legs, and sliding the pie between them. "So I don't eat it all. You're doing me a favor."
