Jane inclined her head as he spoke. "Indeed," she said. "As I have discovered after a few drinks with a gentleman. And that is being generous in calling him such."
Her fingers traced the neckline of her dress without thought, her head tilting just so that exposed her neck. Someone had told her she tended to be alluring without thought, which was why her innocence was so charming. It was one of those times now.
"I'm sure she will be delighted to see you again," Jane said. "I hope that she will be able to assist me with finding something that suits me here as well."
She lifted her glass, taking a sip, allowing her eyes to take in Henry's strong features. She never could get enough of looking at him.
