Jane turned, her slender legs shifting as she faced Henry. She smiled, a light blush brushing across her cheeks as she gave him her hand so he could kiss it. It didn't seem to matter which version of Henry it was, he always left her feeling treasured and like butterflies were fluttering away in her belly.
"Despite how I came across at times, I have been looking forward to it," Jane said, her voice dancing across her words. She still loved Henry. She probably always would. But she was learning that this time period they found themselves in lead to her wanting to taste the fruits of everything it had to offer.
"You look very handsome, Henry," she said, smiling still.
