Henry had just been thinking, you know, this just kissing thing isn't all that bad when Gabriella stopped and stared at him. He spent a moment or two confused over her sudden reluctance to continue with things until it became clear she'd finally noticed not only where she was sitting, but what that position was doing to him. Henry's expression immediately turned caring and sympathetic, hiding his frustration.
"Of course, Gabby-- I wouldn't think to assume anything like that," he assured her. "And I definitely wouldn't want to pressure you into something you weren't ready for or didn't want to do."
Not, he noticed, that she had moved away just yet. Mentally noting that fact, Henry took the path of discretion and gently guided Gabriella to a place sitting beside him again.
"I apologize for that. But you are a very pretty girl, and I'm only human."
And I have a contact list full of 'ready and willing' names and numbers, Henry reminded himself.
