The driver, being both European and that close to Greece, spoke Greek. It wouldn't have mattered. Anne would have spoken Turkish if it had been easiest for him, but she rattled off directions using both her hands and her words. Once she was sure that the man understood, she sat back and took Sam's hand again.
"I know I've said thank you, but just being here feels different." She looked out the windows to the car. "It's the air. It's ancient and full of meaning."
