"All right, ugly, I hope you're cruising for a... well, who'd be able to tell if we did bruise you?" Spidey slung a web at Apocalypse and pulled. Peter might have had the proportionate strength of a human-sized spider, but Apocalypse had the strength of a really big dude. He wasn't going down easily. Spider-Man pulled and pulled, stretching the elasticity of the web to its limit, but to no avail. He finally had to let go, because the pavement he was sticking his feet to was starting to let go. The webline snapped back uselessly against Apocalypse's shell, but it gave Peter an idea.
He swung past the Big Blue Behemoth and hit a building on each side of the road with a webline. Then he pulled each line as taut as it would go. Spider-Man took careful aim, and ignored his spider-sense, which was desperately telling him that this was a bad idea. "This is really going to hurt." He lifted his feet off the ground, slingshotting him shoulder-first into Apocalypse's backside. The monster stumbled, and Belle's melted pavement made it harder for him to maintain his balance. Come on... come on! Fall!
In one of the most comical injuries on a supervillain in history, Apocalypse tripped.
