"He's not an idiot, he's pissed off that I'd throw away my safety without asking." She gestured to her shoulder. "In his defense, he's right, you did shoot me." When he brought up Remy, she narrowed her eyes. "You didn't have to. And the people I've killed, I had to. I didn't do it for fun or any of your stupid social change. What changes have you made, Jack?" She was smiling, clearly pleased with the fact that she held sway over him. Her opinion mattered to him.
But before she could say anything further he was kissing her, pressing his lips hard to her mouth. She whimpered loudly in protest, trying to push him away weakly. Her arm hurt, her head hurt, and in the end she just gave in and didn't move.
