Carrie was out the door and on her bike in record breaking time. She felt energized with her new suit. There was something incredibly exciting about this. For once, she was her own hero. She wasn't Batman's sidekick. She had no real ties to Batman in this costume. That felt surprisingly good.
It was dark by the time Carrie had stopped her bike in an alley. A few stars were visible in the night's sky. It was cool, but not too cold. It was a good night for new beginnings. Carrie shot off her line and flipped on to the top of the building. "Catgirl to base," Carrie whispered in a dramatic voice. "You there, Oracle?"
