"It's fine," Carrie said, jaw a little tight. It wasn't fine. She knew this and so did Doug, but she wasn't in the mood to talk feelings. "I haven't even seen him. I think they're still traveling. Or maybe they're at the manor. I don't care." She ran a hand through her hair, pushing bangs aside and giving Doug a view of a healing cut on her forehead. Since Bruce had left, she'd managed to get herself a lot more injured than normal. It'd been mostly due to the fact that she overworked herself - partially to prove herself tough without Batman, partially to keep her mind on things that weren't Bruce.
"I'll be fine. I'll test some things and hit some bad guys. You'll be keeping an eye on me the whole time, right? It'll be great."
She took the costume. "Just give me a minute to change." She walked into a different room, stripped down, and returned in costume. The mask wasn't yet fixed on her face. She was smiling. "How's it look?"
