"Did I have the coat while it was...?" Dick tried to think back. Most everything was a blur. "I think... yes. No. Wait. Um. What was the quest--the coat, right. I had it. I'm seventy-five percent sure." He wasn't wet, right? That was probably a sign. Well, not wet beyond the normal layer of sweat that covered him after this much time on his feet.
"I think you'd be able to tell if I'd been hurt." He was lucky, mostly. A handful of scrapes and a bit of chest hair burned off, but aside from that he was as handsome as ever. "And really, it's not that cold. After the first couple hours you stop noticing it all together."
