"I-" Carrie jumped back as the woman lunged forward. There was a flash of white teeth. She looked as though she was trying to take a chunk out of Carrie's calf. "Enough of this shit," Carrie moved in swiftly and knocked the woman out. Letting out a deep breath, Robin gently rubbed a spot above her eyebrow. Stress, exhaustion, and hunger headaches came and went. "I'm fine. Maybe a new bruise or two, but nothing serious."
She looked at him. "You?" She paused for a moment, frowning slightly. "Beyond the fact that you're going to freeze to death out here, I mean." Because she couldn't really help herself and she was tired and slightly irritable, she went on, "Tell me you had the coat while it was raining, please."
