Ganieda16: I am...new to this whole dating thing. Can I ask some questions?

Ganieda16: I am...confused as to the level of...well. Um...is it like handfasting? are we wed for a year and a day?
notahero345: No, ah, it's... um... like courting, I guess? I try to woo you, you decide if you want to be wooed and how much wooing I can do... and um, eventually we decide, after whatever time we want, whether anything else happens? *is confused already*
Ganieda16: It sounds needlessly complicated. We should just be married. You can always take another wife if it doesn't work out.
notahero345: ...buwha?
Ganieda16: What? It's not like I don't *like* you or anything. I mean, at least we get along.
notahero345: Ahm, we usually date to see if things would work out... you know, before getting married? Also... by the law, you are underage. We could not get married until you were 18. So why not date untiul then? If, you know, you still want to, then.
Ganieda16: Oh. Well why didn't you say so? I do not understand why 18 is the magic number. By 18 I would have had at least two children! I...do not understand this world, sometimes.
notahero345: *shrugs* I dont know?
Ganieda16: I mean...I like you, and you like me, and I'm...really quite attracted to you. It would be a sight better than marrying someone twice my age that I have never met.
notahero345: what about Love?
Ganieda16: *blinks* well. it would be nice, I suppose... *has never thought about it in those terms*
notahero345: *smiles shylly* I like you already, and think you are beautiful... and well, you never know what could happen.
Ganieda16: *smiles shyly back* oh. Well. You know...dating does sound fun.
Ganieda16: and...I like you. So...maybe I shouldn't...rush things? Sorry, it's just what we do on my world.
notahero345:*smiles softly* It's okay. This will be a learning thing for me too. I've never really dated, not really, and, well, all I know is I like you and I want to do it right?
Ganieda16: ...oh. well...thank you. really. *smiles* It is...very pleasant, to be with you.
