She had no idea just yet how utterly pitiless she could be, just how amusing she would find it when her dinner was begging for its life, no idea, really, but somehow she knew all the same, perhaps it was genetics, perhaps it was just her newly increased awareness of her surroundings, of herself, things she didn't realize but things she knew all the same.
