Karen Davis (The Grudge/2) ([info]seeingfaces) wrote in [info]utr_logs,
Karen lay peacefully, didn't look like she was in any distress, as she had looked in that brief moment before she was struck. She might have even been smiling. But she didn't stir at his words. They didn't co completely unanswered, beneath Caleb's hand their son gave a strong, well place kick, singaling at least one half of his family heard him, and might pass on the message.

Pete's hand had moved to the other side of her just then and he smiled, laughing softly, tears filling his eyes. "Oh he's a strong one, him. Just like his mother." He went into the bathroom and dampened a Kleenix, returned to wipe some dirt off of her face from the garage.

After some time Chase returned, hands in his pockets as he sighed. "MRI looks fine, no swelling, no bleeding. The best explanation I can give you is shock, for now at least, we'll do the MRI again in the morning to be sure it just isn't too microscopic to see right now. All we can really do is keep her comfortable and wait. Her lungs and heart are working properly on their own, we just have to watch her blood pressure and for protein in her urine."
