Amber sank down to the ground. Her phone wasn't working anymore. No more texts, calls, or internet posts. It was as if she were cut off by herself. James was still unconscious, though still alive and with good vital signs. She wasn't really as worried about him as she should have been. It was strange but she felt that he would be fine. No medical reasons, no outwards signs, just a feeling she had inside. Intuition, if you will.

As she wasn't much on believing in intuition, she chose to chalk it up to his good vital signs, the strong pulse in his leg even below where the beam had him pinned, and anything else she could pin it on. Sighing, she slid closer to him, draping her arm across his chest. She stroked his face tenderly, hoping he would wake up soon.

It had taken Kate a while to get to the hospital's parking garage, but she had finally made it and she carefully made her way to the third floor. Using her phasing to walk on air could be extremely useful at times. She searched the area until she found the two doctors and became tangible again. She examined the unconscious man, looking for the best way to move him. Then she looked at the blonde woman. "I'm Kate," she said. "I'm here to help. I need you to move away from him for a moment."

Amber blinked at the girl as she recorporealized in fron tof her. Well that was odd. "Kate, right. I got your message before my phone blinked out on me. I'm Amber. Thanks for coming."

Reluctantly, she moved away from James, not eager to let go of him. But this Kate said she needed to, so she trusted her and stood up, moving a few steps away. "Go ahead. But please be careful. He might have a hairline fracture. So far as I can tell the beam didn't crush anything, but I don't know for sure."
