Who: Henn & Cass
Where: Her apartment in New Orleans
When: After work some weeknight
Why: Because she has something to say
Henn was pacing, she'd been pacing for the last hour, ever since sending Kitten with a note for Cass, she couldn't ever remember being this nervous, ever, but she had some things to work out and she knew this was the only way to do it.
When she was on an upswing, for a few minutes at a time, she knew it was going to be fine and she was glad she'd given Kitten instructions not to come back without Cass, and when she was on the downswing, moments later and for just as long, she regretted that same decision, which was how the still logically-working part of her brain knew it had been the right decision to make.
The note was simple, five little words: I have something for you
Cassidy showed up through the backstage with a potted plant (a regular iris plant) and a look of confusion. The look of confusion was usual right after he came out of the background. "Henriette?" He asked, looking around, petting Kitten idly. He was worried about things. He'd recently told Soren everything, and had confidence about his actual feelings for Henn.
He hoped it went both ways.
She jumped, just a little, which probably only went to prove just how tightly wound she was at the moment, it was different than the energy overload from going clubbing, because in this case it was all her own.
Kitten chirped, climbing up her side to settle against the back of her neck, feelers waving, eying Cass intently for a moment before settling.
She smiled then, "Hey, didn't interrupt anything important did I?"
"Nothing, actually. I was just working on my flexing in a mirror capabilities. Before that I was reading. What's up? This is for you." He handed her the flower. "If you don't have a green thumb, I'll come and take care of it for you." He kissed her cheek, looking at her with a curious, delighted expression. He was glad to see her, and it showed.
She smiled, setting it on the kitchen counter, "I'm good with plants, got a littlebitty herb garden out the back, I'm just glad that the fish tank also came with a little Japanese man who comes to clean it once a week, otherwise it'd be long empty by now. Are you hungry? I made some fudge earlier, should be just about set by now."
Nervous babble was go!
