He stroked her hair and rocked her a little bit. "I forget sometimes that not everyone's got a big family like me. Mom was an orphan, so for her, family's everyone that's close. It's why your dad's my uncle." He rubbed her arms, letting his cheek rest on the top of her head.

"Don't you ever apologize for showing me your feelings. You trust me with them. You love me. I love you. It's - it's nothing but good, Sable." He kissed her and smiled. "Your father's an amazing man. He's really wonderful."
