When: Upon an odd evening

The thunder crackled and lightning crashed across the sky, in all directions. The sky was dark and clouds obscured every inch of it.

Alex stood on the front porch, watching the sky, pondering his conversation with Nathan. Oh yes, this had been exactly what he had wanted. A mad geneticist who had a hard on for his family's DNA was loose on the planet, and in motion.

Alex grumbled.

Now he had to decide whether or not to tell Lorna, which was not really a decision. He would tell her, soon, perhaps tonight. He winced as lightning cracked across the sky and thunder roared, almost deafening. He was very glad he had directed Lorna in applying shielding and installing double generators for the house. It would be a long night.

With a shake of his head, he turned to go back in.
