So much for not feeling ill. Anne let him draw her to him once again, where she felt the safest. Where she'd always felt the safest. She breathed him in, her head resting against his chest, her eyes closed. Her palms were flat against his back and she nodded, repeating what he'd said.
"Okay." She even nodded, as if that would help. There wasn't anything else to say. But she trusted him to believe him when he said everything would be okay.
