Ganieda is worried about school. Everyone said she shouldn't be, but she was still worried. She could fight of course, if she had to, but she didn't think that bow and arrow or spear could come into school with her, by all accounts. And she'd rather not use magic if she didn't have to.

She knew all sorts of things now, fires and light and shields; but still...magic wasn't fair, she didn't think.

As usual, when she is terribly worried, she has sought out Central Park again. After all, Mother was not home as usual and it was senseless to stay home alone. Here, where the trees grew and there was grass and at least a little quiet, Ganieda's jangled nerves could calm and her mind could clear.

Lan was wandering, thinking of fire and the city, and of how things were just crazy to him.

The whole world was a strange one, and one he was afraid of, as often as not, and even flying, which he loved, seemed strangely foreign.

So he sought out peace and quiet, in the park.

There he wandered, until without warning, he turned around some trees and encountered a young woman.

	"Lan. It is nice to finally meet you." She got up and went toward him. "I am merely worried about school and trying not to. It made no sense to be at home by myself when I could be here.
