Jack brushed past Ennis with a soft 'Well damn,', moving on to explore the rest of the house, following the hall towards the large living room, and off to the kitchen. He couldn't stop the grin on his face as he looked around, seeing small signs of a shared life scattered around the rooms; two sets of dishes in the sink, two names on the mail on the counter. He'd let himself dare to think he'd share a life like that with someone before, but he hadn't managed to convince himself he could ever have one with Ennis.
