The fact Ennis didn't speak wasn't unusual. His body language did more for communication than words, and his tense posture clearly indicated discomfort. It wasn't the truck, or Jack. It was being with Jack, and unable to touch him. He craved that touch, the contact, the violence they shared. He needed it to feel alive.
