Carrie nodded. Somewhere in the middle of his story, she brought a chair that had been against the wall close to his bed and sat. "I knew about the shock. I tracked you up to the point where you left me in charge of the business - which I've been running but you can have back, if you want." Her hand dangled restlessly at her side and bunched into a fist. For a moment, she almost grabbed his hand but then stopped herself. Carrie wasn't touchy.
"I'm really going to injure you. When you're well enough." She smirked. And noticed something different in the way he spoke. Doug wasn't as... nervous. It was strange. "What happened to you?" She asked.
