Vance was grinning as he wandered, awed and somewhat overwhelmed by the animals that gathered outside the actual mansion area. Deer and dogs, bears and other wild things, all wandering in peace, and as long as they were not bothered, seemingly not hostile, either.
He wandered, a childlike look on his face, wonder and awe, and a sheer appreciation for the groovy new coolness that had entered his life with the arrival of Artemis.
He was enjoying her stay, and glad he had said hello to her.
