Ollie had disappeared when she was hit and returned a few seconds later, icepack in hand, just in time to hear her confused question. "Here, put this on. I mentioned him earlier, didn't I? Don't tell me my memory's going now, too." She needed to put her hand down so he could see the damage. He hadn't been swinging hard, but he hadn't been exactly holding back, either, and years of swinging a bow around made him a little stronger than he thought he was sometimes.
"Yeah, I got a son. Couple of 'em, in fact. I'd've thought Carrie would've told you about 'em." He paused, stroking his beard. "Assuming I told her. I wasn't trying to hide my kid. I just didn't bring it up."
