WHAT: Down the pub for a pint.
WHERE: Said pub.
WHEN: Slowtimed like the devil.
WARNINGS: Nah. Language maybe. Constantine's charm.
She'd set her son and his toys on the couch next to Dean, and made absolutely sure Dean didn't mind her nipping off to the pub to have a drink with another bloke. (She hadn't thought he would, but it never hurt to make certain, she figured.) Constantine amused her, which would likely horrify Robbie. The man was charming and rather funny, but it was really true what they said of old cons: they could always smell their own. He might have been charming, but it wasn't as if she trusted him.
He'd given her the name of the pub, and she pushed open the door, looking around for the familiar figure. |
