Who: Pogue and Dawn What: First date Where: Wherever the night takes them When: a day or so ago Warnings: vroom vroom vroom
Pogue was more than a little bit thrown by his conversation with Caleb and some chick he'd never even heard of. The fact that Caleb was talking about Chase like it had happened yesterday had him worried. There were one of a few possibilities going on here. Either Brooke had done something to him, or Caleb wasn't really Caleb at all. He'd left an address with Pogue and he'd been tempted all week to just go and see for himself. The problem was, he didn't know how to handle it if it turned out something was wrong with Caleb.
So instead he decided to hit on all of the hot girls that would talk to him. Somehow he managed to catch the attention of the girl that was on the cover of half a dozen magazines at the checkout counter at Shop-Rite. She was supposedly some high society skank. She seemed nice enough over the internet but nice girls didn't really exist. And if they did, they definitely didn't want to "date" Pogue Parry. Not since Kate anyway.
He didn't really care. The rest of the world be damned, as long as he had a road to ride on and a bike to rid with he was content. Something about the wind through his hair and the ccs of raw power between his legs that just made the rest of the universe float away in a Zen like state. It didn't hurt that he was going to see a girl either. He wasn't really sure what he was doing to do with her. He didn't really date. He was more a few beers and then take her home for the night kind of guy these days.
Whatever. He pulled up in front of her house and didn't bother going in, just text messaged her that he was waiting outside. He said he didn't wait and he meant it.
