Essex was also a man of his word, and Remy refused to put anyone he knew in any more danger than they were in. Though it might come in handy to have Sinister and Joker play off each other and leave his family and friends alone. The more obvious trouble with that would be them teaming up and systematically destroying everything he knew and loved.
