It was a day with clear blue skies and fluffy white clouds, almost beautiful enough to rival the prettiest day in Ponyland. The sun reflected off the skyline of the city and made it glimmer so that instead of being an ugly stain on the blue horizon the buildings became more like a sparkling accent. All this day needed was a rainbow and it would be perfect.
Firefly was swinging contentedly from a set of monkey bars, enjoying the newfound dexterity of human limbs; they were far more versatile than her former hooves. She was becoming a big fan of opposable thumbs. The former pony was excited to meet Carrie, she hadn't hung out with anyone from the boards yet, just a couple people from her dorm before they all got scared and refused to go outside. The park was pretty empty too, come to think of it. She liked Carrie, but even through the message board she could detect a sadness in the other girl. Firefly had no way of knowing about Carrie's past but she recognized the depression and was determined to cheer her up today. Thus the neon frisbees resting on the ground underneath the jungle gym. She hooked her knees into the bars and hung upside-down. Her shades threatened to slide off her nose as she hung watching and waiting for her new blonde friend.
