He fired twice but didn't hit once, which was less disconcerting than it was irritating. "Dunno," he said, shrugging, his greasy hair swinging. "You seem to know me and my style so well. What do you think?" He sighed and rolled his eyes. "I admit, I always have been a great lover of a very certain kind of attention," he said, smiling and self-deprecating in his tone. "But this really takes the cake. Three of you at once? You know, I never forget a face."
He heard Carrie shouting from a little ways away and grinned. "Enough hints. If you have to explain the joke, the joke isn't funny!" He fired in Carrie's direction, emptying what remained of the ammo in the gun--six rounds, rapid fire.
